Commissioned by Universal Music UK for their artist Mae Stephens, the project's challenge was to create a signature visual world for her new single. We needed to translate her unique energy and musical style into a series of assertive, narrative-driven portraits for press and promotional use.

Drawing inspiration from the vibrant, layered aesthetic of Japanese Decora fashion and the artist's own playful personality, we developed a complete creative direction for the shoot. The focus was on dynamic styling, bold colour palettes, and energetic compositions to create a world that felt both authentic and highly imaginative.

The result is a collection of high-impact promotional images, each with a strong and distinct personality. The visuals successfully reinforce Mae Stephens' public image, providing her with a powerful and cohesive set of assets ready for press features and digital music platforms.
